Straw Hat Making Workshop with Oxfam Hong Kong
With global warming, Hong Kong’s summer is getting hotter and hotter. Cleaning workers are amongst the groups who are most affected by the hot weather, as they silently serve the Hong Kong public and work outdoors for long hours.
AASPCS is working with Oxfam Hong Kong to organise a Straw Hat Making Workshop. A guest speaker from Cleaning Workers Union will share with participants the challenges and needs of cleaning workers and show them how to make a straw hat. Participants will be able to use their creativity to make a “Cleaning Worker Straw Hat” and may choose to donate their finished product to cleaning workers on their own or through the Cleaning Workers Union.
We look forward to seeing you at this fun and meaningful charitable event.
